November 14, 2022 – Power Rates

To All Our Valued Clients/Customers:
Power Rates in November 2022 Billing

Please be informed that the effective electricity rate of BLCI for November 2022 billing period has an adjustment due to high generation and fuel cost components and volatility of the market prices. These will correspondingly result in a higher generation rate which is a pass-through charge to consumers based on R.A. 9136 of the EPIRA Law and to be paid back to the Power Generation Company and to the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).

The distribution cost of BLCI remain unchanged since the ERC approval in the year 2015. Hence, we would like to inform the public that this increase is beyond our control and felt to all paying electricity users not only to BLCI but also to other distribution utilities.

BLCI highly encourages our consumers to exercise energy-saving measures to avoid higher electric power bills.
