Power Rates in October 2022 Billing

Please be informed that the effective power rate of BLCI for October 2022 billing period has an increment of P1.71/kWh for residential and P1.67/kWh for commercial consumers due to high generation cost brought about by the increasing fuel prices in the world market.

Generation cost is not fixed and it is a pass-through charge to consumers based on R.A. 9136 of the EPIRA Law and will be paid back to the Power Generation Company and to the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM). The distribution cost remain unchanged since the ERC approval in the year 2015. Hence, we would like to inform the public that this increase is beyond our control and felt to all paying electricity users not only to BLCI but also to other distribution utilities.

BLCI highly encourages our consumers to exercise energy-saving measures to avoid higher electric power bills.

For your information and guidance.

Thank you.
